Great Beers: Starobrno

Starobrno (pronounced Staro-bru-no) is a classic Pilsener style lager imported from the Czech Republic.

It is cold-fermented and aged three months to produce perfect balance and extraordinary smoothiness. It is full-bodied crisp, clean and flavorful, with a delicate bitterness and refreshingly medium finish.

The brand literally means the star of Brno, being home-grown from Brno in Moravia center of the Czech Republic's barley growing and brewing district.

It comes in full color cardboard basket six-pack carrier with full color as well for its outer shipping carton.

Starbrno is the only brewery which has earned the right to display the "Czech Made," seal of approval from the Sociey for Czech Products of Excellence.

 

 

Did you know that...

Malt used for brewing Starobrno is made exclusively from barley grown in the Han region. It is stored for one month before it is suitable for use. Starobrno's distinct taste comes from a cold fermentation process that creates its distinctive taste.

In the manufacturing process, samples are taken from each batch of beer and undergo quality test. The batch will get the final go signal to leave the brewery only after stringent quality controls and analysis have been carried out.
