Monopolowa Dry Gin, Monopolowa Vodka
Monopolowa Dry Gin
Baczewski’s Dry Gin has been made according to a traditional family recipe for decades, using nothing but the best natural ingredients. We produce it using triple-distilled potato spirit and crystal-clear mountain water, while its exquisite and well-balanced flavor has been achieved thanks to a carefully selected mixture of aromatic extras: juniper berries, coriander, aniseed, ginger and dill, as well as lemon and orange peel.
Egri Bikaver Bull’s Blood
Without a doubt, Egri Bikaver Bull’s Blood is the most well known red wine of Hungary. Made from a blend of 50% Blue Franc combined with two other varietals, Bull’s Blood is aged at least one year—six months of which are in oak barrels. Aging in oak provides complexity and smooths out the wine to its state of elegance. This layered, full-bodied wine is excellent with steak and stews.
Marika Balatoni Merlot
Marika Balatoni Merlot is a ruby-red colored, barrel-aged, semi-sweet wine. Soft and smooth with pronounced fruit, this red wine boasts a harmonious finish. The best full-bodied Kadarka wines are produced in the southeastern part of Hungary in the Szekszard and Kiskoros region.
Tokaji Szamorodni Sweet
Tokaji Szamorodni Sweet captures both the taste of the classic Tokaji Furmint wine and that of the “aszu” grapes. It is dominated by rich and complex flavors reminiscent of raisins, honey, sweet almonds and apricot. It has a fine balance between its 5% residual sugar and bright flavorful acids.
Tokaji Yellow Muscat
Tokaji Yellow Muscat, the most fragrant wine of the Tokaj region, has a matching characteristic and intense sweet bouquet. This golden wine leaves a long and full finish reminiscent of ripe grapes and green apples, with the lingering scent of bananas. It is distinctive and well-integrated acids are elegant and pronounced. Acidity: 6.6%; Sugar content: 16g/lt.
Tokaji Aszu 5
Hungary has always maintained a special position among connoisseurs as the home of the famous sweet wines of Tokaj. Tokaji Aszu is made in a very special way. After the normal harvest, some of the grapes are left on the vines to develop the same noble rot that affects the grapes in the Sauternes and along the Rhine and Moselle. These shriveled grapes, with their much higher concentration of sugar, are known as aszu. The aszu grapes are carefully harvested and put into butts (called puttony). The aszu grapes are then crushed into a rich paste. After the regular harvest has been vinified, a certain number (3, 4, 5, and 6) puttonys are added to each vat of wine. The more puttonys that are added, the sweeter the resulting wine. The addition of aszu paste induces a slight second fermentation of the enriched wine.
